  2. That does me a great deal of good to read, Joel. Like you, I was absolutely smitten with the aching beauty of this line. I wanted to illustrate it, yet I knew the illustration had to be perfect. This is the first image that came to mind, and is again a hearkening back to a childhood spent in Catholic churches, bored with the mass but full of wonder at the images in the stained glass. I'm really pleased with it. And I shall set it aside for you, since I can think of no better home for my art than the walls of a good and longtime friend.
